New Art Gallery

Here is my new gallery for the new BrianCreates.com that is going live soon (I know, I’ve said that before):

Preview of the NEW BrianCreates.com

Here is a preview of the new BrianCreates.com artwork for the top of the pages on the site.  Each page on the new site will have unique images so you know what page you are on, but there will still be a unifying design among all the pages.

The banner at the top of the page will also be unique depending on what page you are visiting.  The main Welcome page is pretty much done.  I am now working on adding database systems to other pages on the site.  This is hard.  I wish I could pay someone to create this stuff, but I can’t afford anyone right now.  I will get this yet.  Here is a preview of one of the banners (which I am putting at the bottom of this post even though it will eventually appear at the top of the BrianCreates.com page):

iPhone Art

This is artwork I drew on my iPhone (yes, I said on my iPhone) with the SketchBook Mobile application from Autodesk. It’s actually quite a sophisticated application with layers, brush shapes, and the ability to save as a .PSD (Photoshop file). I’m also sending this blog post from my iPhone. It’s really a test to see what a picture and a post from my iPhone looks like. It’s also a test of how easy (or hard) writing a post will be (or not to be) on my iPhone. All of this is a continuing test of the new BrianCreates.com website which I hope to have done soon.

Power Out, Computer Out?

I had a power outage yesterday that put my computer into hibernation.  After it came out, my hard drives weren’t recognized even in the bios.  After I panicked and planned my funeral from my death by data loss, I eventually got my computer working again.  It did scare me enough that I will make sure I have a full backup of my drives somewhere.  I have too much data and not enough backup space.

I am coming closer to having a workable BrianCreates.com site.  I’m trying to get blogger to be seen from my own site.  I don’t want to have to post to two different places when I post. “Post once and read everywhere, ” I always say (ever since I typed it in this sentence).
